OS Product Licensing

WeGetGEO is an authorised Ordnance Survey {"OS") Licensed Partner. This enables us to licence our customers to use a range of OS Licensed Data, including OS MasterMap.

Framework Agreement

When ordering OS data from WeGetGEO, we have a Framework Agreement that sets out the commercial relationship between us, including how you may access and use the OS data.

The Framework Agreement lasts between one and five years, depending on your chosen product/s. You can choose to pay licence fees each year or a single license fee upfront for the entire initial term of the Framework Agreement and you can renew or extend your contract as required.

Data Contract

Data licensed under the Framework Agreement is offered on Licensed Use terms, subject to a Data Contract for each of the Licensed Products that you purchase from WeGetGEO.

Contractors

You can allow Contractors access to OS Licensed Data, under certain agreed use, as outlined in the Framework and Data Contract agreements.

You can share the data with a contractor or third-party solely for the benefit of your own business and you are responsible to ensure such external users of data sign an agreement.

WeGetGEO include below an example agreement that you may download. Before use of such an agreement, it is the responsibility of your organisation to review and fully ensure this complies with the terms and conditions of the Framework and Data Contract Agreements you agree to when using OS Products licensed to you for your use.

Licensed use

The Licensed Use terms enable Users to use Ordnance Survey Data for their internal business use, meaning the internal administration and operation of their business.

There are three variants of "Licensed Use" which provide licence terms appropriate to the requirements of particular customer groups:

Standard: are the rights that are available to all customers unless they are an;
Infrastructure Body (Utility); or a
Public Sector Body

Additional rights apply to Infrastructure Bodies and Public Sector Bodies. When you order data, WeGetGEO will confirm the applicable Licensed Use that applies. You can find further information on each of these Licensed Use Terms in the Framework Agreement or the Data Contract.

When you order Licensed Data from WeGetGEO we shall send you an Order Confirmation. This will detail information about the product purchase and re-affirm that we both agree to the Framework Agreement and the Data Contract.
