Our story

Who we are

WeGetGEO is a geospatial partner for organisations that depend on clear, trusted insight about their homes, land, communities and services. We help teams move from fragmented datasets and outdated tools to a modern, joined‑up understanding of place that supports confident decisions every day.

Our work spans housing associations, local authorities, NHS organisations, BIDs, energy and renewables teams — any organisation that needs accurate, accessible spatial insight. What they share is simple: the need to trust their data and understand their communities.

We believe the best solutions are the ones people actually use. That’s why we focus on clarity, simplicity and real‑world impact. Every map, dataset and analysis we deliver is designed to help your teams work smarter, understand more and make decisions that improve services and outcomes.

Organisations choose WeGetGEO because we listen, we understand their challenges and we deliver solutions that fit the way they work. We’re proud to be a trusted partner — not just for the technology we provide, but for the confidence, insight and clarity we help create with our customers.

The team

Behind WeGetGEO is a partnership nearly twenty years in the making. Ian and Nigel first worked together on the NHS Digital Mapping Agreement in 2007/08 and have stayed connected ever since — sharing ideas, solving problems and occasionally catching up over a curry.

Nigel founded WeGetGEO in 2013, building a reputation for clarity and technical rigour. In 2026, Ian joined to lead the next chapter, bringing deep experience in health, data integration and strategic communication.

Together, we bring more than forty years of combined experience and a warm, collaborative approach. Our shared values — clarity, simplicity and real‑world impact — shape every map, dataset and analysis delivered. Organisations choose WeGetGEO because we listen, understand their challenges and create solutions that fit the way they work.

Their partnership is built on two decades of trust, shared values and a genuine enjoyment of working together. It’s a story of continuity and evolution — the same trusted foundations, now strengthened with new energy, broader capability and a renewed focus on helping organisations understand the places and communities they serve.

Who you'll be working with

Ian Bullard

Managing Director

Ian has recently joined WeGetGEO to take the reins and lead the business into its next chapter. With over 26 years in the NHS—starting in geographical information and progressing to linking patient‑level datasets big enough to make most laptops cry—he brings deep experience in turning complex data into clear, human‑friendly insight.

Known for curiosity, pragmatism and dry humour, Ian now applies his skills to help clients understand communities and services. Outside work, he’s recently hung up his boots after eight years as a grassroots football coach, where he’s learned that data behaves far better than children.

Nigel Robbins

GIS Manager

Nigel has spent almost 40 years in geographical information and founded WeGetGEO in 2013 to make geospatial insight clearer and more useful. With a background in infrastructure engineering and planning in the UK and overseas, he's ensured information always meets regulatory standards. He is now handing over the reins to Ian while continuing to lend his experience and steady pragmatism to client projects.

Known for deep technical knowledge and an ability to spot issues long before they become problems, Nigel remains a trusted guide. Outside work, he can usually be found exploring maps for fun in Devon or further afield in Canada — proof that some people really do love this stuff.
